Strawberries & Creem 2019 Preview
The up-and-coming, ever-growing, independent music festival returns this Saturday 15th June for even more fun in the Cambridge sun. Expect a diverse line-up of Hip-hop, R&B, House, Bass and Noughties throwbacks throughout the day.
Established in 2014 in Cambridge, Strawberries & Creem has become renowned for its authentic and feel-good line-ups that have seen a wealth of respected acts perform in recent years – counting Skepta, Wiley and Kano to name a few. Curated by a team of young creatives with an average age of just 25, the one-day event stays true to its ethos of ‘celebrate heritage, champion future’ with a diverse bill for 2019.
Growing from 1,000 guests in its first year to over 12,000 festival-goers this year, Strawberries & Creem is known for attracting a diverse crowd as well as a host of surprise guests from models to influencers to artists who have in the past ended up performing unannounced.
You may have read our recent article about the lack of female artists on festival line-ups but this is not the case with Strawberries & Creem. Stefflon Don, Ms Dynamite and Mahalia are all confirmed as headliners to play alongside man like Sean Kingston. The full line-up can here seen here.
As you’ll be able to see if you’re going on Saturday, Strawberries & Creem shows true support for UK music with a huge American artist usually thrown into the mix. The food stalls and brands the organisers choose to partner with are carefully selected each year to suit their audience so you can expect a whole lot more on offer than just good music. It’s understandable why the young festival is becoming a firm favourite amongst students, locals and London heads alike.
This year’s event is is almost sold out so hurry up and buy your ticket OR enter @thefstivalclub competition to be in with a chance of winning a pair of VIP tickets.
We’re going to be hitting up the festival and shooting some content with twin presenters, Tights & Kay so make sure you come say hi.
